Detectives attempting to identify suspect who made fraudulent cash withdraw

SARASOTA, Fla. – October 21, 2014 – 8 a.m.

Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for assistance from the public in identifying a man caught on surveillance camera at a Wells Fargo in Sarasota making a fraudulent cash withdraw.

On September 29, 2014, the man in the photos walked into the Wells Fargo at 2891 South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota and fraudulently made a large cash withdraw from a business account of a business that is out of Maryland. The suspect presented a California ID card with his picture on it but the name on the ID was my victim’s name. A second form of ID in the victim’s name was presented as well. The suspect is described as a white male, in his 40’s, short brown hair, 6 feet, thin build and last seen wearing a dark button down shirt and dark slacks.
