Sarasota Police Officer to Donate Van Full of Blankets, Jackets & More to Resurrection House

SARASOTA, Fla. – Nov. 25, 2014 – 9:15 a.m.

For the last several weeks, Sarasota Police Officer Sean Gleason has been collecting blankets, jackets and more to donate to the Resurrection House in Sarasota for those less fortunate.

This idea began when Officer Gleason discovered several pairs of boots at the Sarasota Police Department that were no longer being used. He took the two pairs of boots and gave them to two individuals who needed them. After that, Officer Gleason came up with the idea to collect blankets, jackets, clothes and more to donate to those less fortunate for the holidays.

On Wednesday, November 26, 2014, Officer Gleason along with several other officers will load up a van with donations at the Sarasota Police Department and deliver it to the Resurrection House. The media is welcome to join along.
