Search warrant ends with arrest and seizure of 36 grams of cocaine, $525 & a firearm

SARASOTA, Fla. – June 17, 2014 – 8:15 a.m.

On Wednesday, June 11, 2014, the Sarasota Police Department Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of SWAT and the Street Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant at 1476 19th Street in Sarasota as a result of a narcotics investigation reference the sale of cocaine from the residence.

As a result of the search warrant, one man was arrested and detectives seized the following:

• 26.7 grams of powder cocaine
• 9.3 grams of rock cocaine
• $525 US currency
• Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver
