Sarasota Police Detectives looking for assistance in bicycle store burglary

SARASOTA, Fla. – September 24, 2014 – 1 p.m.

Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in a burglary that occurred at Village Bikes, 3898 South Osprey Avenue, Sarasota, on Monday morning.

On September 22, 2014 at approximately 7 a.m., the store owner received a phone call from his alarm company advising an alarm has been set off. The store owner asked that officers respond. When the owner arrived, he discovered a Specialized Venge S-Works Bicycle was stolen from the store (similar to the photo below).
