Additional Charges for Bayside Center for Behavioral Health Employee

SARASOTA, Fla. – February 17, 2015 – 10 a.m.

On January 30, 2015, Sarasota Police Detectives arrested and charged Jeremy Henry, 27, of Port Charlotte with two (2) counts of felony lewd battery after he inappropriately touched two separate patients at Bayside Center for Behavioral Health in Sarasota. Henry was a tech for the facility. Following the media coverage of the first arrest, three (3) more victims came forward and more charges have been filed.

Victim 1 reported the sexual misconduct to Sarasota Police Detectives in January 2015. Victim 2 also reported the sexual misconduct in January 2015. Both victims are 15 years old and female. Due to the victim being under the age of 16, there were two charges of felony lewd battery.

Victim 3 reported the sexual misconduct in early February 2015. The victim is 16 and female. Henry has been charged with felony unlawful sexual activity with certain minors. This charge is different because the victim is either 16 or 17 and the suspect is 24 or older and consent is irrelevant.

Victim 4 reported the sexual misconduct in early February 2015. The victim is 12 and female. Henry has been charged with felony lewd conduct victim under 16 and suspect over 18. This charge is different because of the age of the victim and there was no penetration and the misconduct happened over clothing.

Victim 5 reported the sexual misconduct in early February 2015. The victim is 13 and female. Henry has been charged with felony lewd conduct victim under 16 and suspect over 18 and lewd exhibition in the presence of a minor because he exposed himself to the victim.
