Sarasota Police Detectives Attempting to Identify Robbery Suspect Caught on Camera

SARASOTA, Fla. – February 18, 2015 – 1:30 p.m.

Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect who was caught on camera holding up a 7-11 Store located at 511 North Washington Blvd, Sarasota on Friday, February 13, 2015 at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Sarasota Police Detectives and Officers responded to the 7-11 in reference to a silent alarm. The store clerk told officers the subject entered the store and told him "give me the ****ing money." The suspect implied he had a weapon however no weapon was seen by the clerk. The suspect left the store with less than $100.

The suspect’s face was covered however the victim described him as a white male believed to be in his mid-to-late 20s. The suspect entered the store and was last seen wearing an olive green hooded sweatshirt, white t-shirt, black pants and a pink bandana covering a majority of his face. The suspect is believed to be around 5’11" and thin build.
