SARASOTA, Fla. – February 20, 2015 – 11:30 a.m.
On Thursday, February 19, 2015, the Sarasota Police Department Street Crimes and Narcotics Units concluded an investigation into drug sales at 1250 34th Street, Sarasota. The Sarasota Police Department’s SWAT team assisted in the investigation by facilitating the service of a search warrant at that location.
"We are happy that we have eradicated another drug house and returned this quiet, North Sarasota neighborhood to normalcy. We will continue to fight crime and continue to keep the City of Sarasota a safe place to live and work,” said Sergeant Demetri Konstantopoulos, Sarasota Police Department Street Crimes Unit.
$1,844 in U.S. currency was seized along with approximately 50 pieces of rock cocaine (7 grams), 11 baggies of powder cocaine, 2.8 grams of Dilaudid and 3.9 grams of Xanax.

Calvin E. Butler, 42
1250 34th Street
Possession of Rock Cocaine with intent to sell within 1000 feet of a church
Possession of Dilaudid
Possession of Xanax
Violation of Probation
Driving with a Suspended License (Habitual Traffic Offender)
Calvin Butler’s criminal history includes 33 felony charges with 17 convictions and 41 misdemeanor charges with 29 convictions. Butler was also one of 33 individuals arrested during SRQ Cartel II
