Sarasota Police Partnership Policing Communications Coordinator Chosen as FLEPIOA Vice President

SARASOTA, FL. – October 12, 2016   – 11:30 a.m.

Sarasota Police Department Partnership Policing Communications Coordinator, Genevieve Judge, has been chosen as the Vice President for the Board of Directors by the Florida Law Enforcement Public Information Officers Association (FLEPIOA).

FLEPIOA is a statewide organization that includes representatives from all branches of local, state and federal law enforcement and public safety.  The purpose of FLEPIOA is to give law enforcement and public safety Public Information Officers training opportunities to enhance their knowledge of Florida law and best practices.

“It’s a testament to Genevieve’s dedication and service to the Sarasota Police Department and the law enforcement community to have been chosen to help lead such a prestigious organization,” said Chief Bernadette DiPino.  “Genevieve is dedicated to serve our community and works tirelessly to maintain positive relationships with our media partners, residents and visitors.  I’m extremely proud of Genevieve and know she will represent our agency well.  FLEPIO is fortunate to have Genevieve on their Board of Directors.”

Genevieve started with the Sarasota Police Department in May 2013.  Before joining SPD, she worked as a multi-media journalist for nearly 10 years in Florida, West Virginia and Idaho.
