Sarasota Police taking social media followers on a ‘Tweet from the Beat’

SARASOTA, FL. – July 19, 2017   – 8 a.m.

The Sarasota Police Department is taking social media followers on another “virtual ride-along.”  Thursday, July 20, 2017, beginning at 5:30 p.m., Twitter users can “ride along” for another ‘Tweet from the Beat’ with Patrol Officers during night shift.

Patrol Officer Laura Bobitz will share what she says and does through texts, videos, GIFs and various photos.  Partnership Policing Communications Coordinator Genevieve Judge will tweet on behalf of Officer Bobitz.  Followers on Twitter @SarasotaPD will be able to ask questions and interact with the Sarasota Police Department while they are on patrol.
