Sarasota Police Department Closes Front Desk Access – Community can call or e-mail
The Sarasota Police Department is continuing to partner with the City of Sarasota staff and emergency management partners regarding COVID-19. Chief Bernadette DiPino and the men and women of the Sarasota Police Department are monitoring information being provided from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health while taking proactive measures to try and slow the transmission and prevent exposure to the Coronavirus.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Sarasota Police Department Front Desk and Records Division access was closed Monday, March 16, 2020, and will remain closed until further notice. This closure will not affect officers responding to calls.

“The men and women of the Sarasota Police Department will not stop serving our community during COVID-19,” said Chief DiPino. “We’re still serving and protecting our community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while making sure we’re taking all the necessary protocols and following the guidance of the CDC and Florida Department of Health. The safety and health of our community and the men and women of our agency is my number one concern,” said Chief DiPino.
