The Sarasota Police Department has a secure drug disposal box available for public use. The program allows residents to anonymously dispose of unused, unwanted or expired prescription medications.

Items must be placed in the clear plastic bags provided, sealed and then deposited in the box. Signage on the disposal box provides instructions for proper use.

The drug disposal box is located in the lobby of the Sarasota Police Department, 2099 Adams Lane, Sarasota, and is accessible seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
