Sarasota Police Launches Front Desk Pilot Program
The Sarasota Police Department launched a pilot program Sept. 3, 2025, to enhance public access and service at headquarters. As part of the initiative, new lobby and phone hours are now in effect:
Lobby hours
Monday–Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Front desk phone hours
Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you need police assistance outside these hours, your call will automatically be directed to the emergency call center. If you visit headquarters after hours, a call box at the entrance connects directly to emergency communications.
The pilot program is designed to improve availability to the community while maintaining safety and efficiency. We appreciate your cooperation as we evaluate and refine this approach.
