Extensively trained and FDLE certified K-9s and their handlers assist in area searches, tracking and locating fleeing suspects, and locating missing or endangered persons.  This unit includes a bomb dog and handler both trained to detect and search for explosives. The K-9 Unit routinely participates in community outreach events throughout the year.
